4 How Much Pipe
Do I Need to Build my Tent?
Time
is precious. Buy a few extra while you are at it. You could make
a few mistakes in cutting your pipe.
Generally
you would calculate your pipe needs by using the steps below.
1.
Determine the number pieces of pipe you need for each triangle.
2.
Multiply this no by the number of triangles that you have in your master
diagram.
3.
Add the number of pipe to connect the first triangle to the 2nd triangle.
4.
Continue adding up the 3rd, 4th, etc. triangle to triangle pipes.
5.
Add all of the support poles scheduled for your tent size.
6.Add
the number of pipe needed for the w sided valance if you ordered a valance
type tent.
7.Add
the number of pipe needed to create all 4 sides of your canopy.
The
valance pipe will be the top half of calculations for side hardware.
The
peak ends usually only need a pipe at the bottom unless you are installing
a 4 sided valance.

Model Definitions.
Size
The first numbers are the size10x10, 20x20, Approximate
size is 10 ft by 10 ft .20ft x20ft, Followed by:
SR=
Super Reinforced= Strong Upper Triangle. No pole under peak. Up To
20 Ft. Span
SD=
Super Duper Reinforced= Strong Triangle w/poles every 10 ft.
(
Poles 10x15 on 30 ft w 8 to 16 ft & 50 ft w Models)
SRV
= Super Reinforced w/ valance using upper side fittings on each pole.
SDV
= Super Duper Reinforced w/valance upper side fitting on each pole.
SRV7
= Super Reinforced with 7’ of side tarps on 4 sides.
SDV7
= SuperDuper Reinforced with 7’ side tarps on 4 sides.
SSD=
Semi-Super Duper has poles every 10 ft.on all, sides.
No poles in the 20 ft span section. No Sides.( Poles 10x15 on 30 ft w
8 to 16 ft & 50 ft w Models)
SSDV7=
Semi-Super Duper has poles every 10 ft..outside. 7’ side tarps
