1A Note that this car canopy garage tent has only one valance .With the Party Tent City modular program you can adjust that very easily  as needed. 1B. This is a frame for a dome tent with a limited area of  14 ft wide and 24 ft long. A 24x24 tarp was used to cover this dome tent.
2A This will give you an overall view of some of the www.PartyTentCity.com tents. 2B This customer needed a tiny shade area for his patio. Our fittings allowed him to make the shelter the exact size that he need.  Note that only 6 connectors are needed to make this structure.
3A This is a 6 inch ball bungee. Most kits come with ball bungees. They quickly go through the grommets in the tarp and around  the pipe and back over the ball for easy removal later.  3B This is the same dome tent you will see later which had plywood ends. The customer used the dome tent to  house a small plane.  Note that this tent has only 7 connectors per truss making it very resilient to wind. The trade off is that it does not have very much shoulder room at the edge.
4A  This cutaway picture of a 20x20 gable roof tents  shows the valance covering the side tarps shedding the water to the outside. Gable tents with sides do not come with triangular tarps to cover the open area at the peak. We sell you a  $9 grommet kit and a tarp that you can cut the exact triangle to fit your tent. 4B This customer sent this picture to show how he used a 12" square vinyl tile to protect the tarp from the pipe. I am not sure that this is usually much of a problem.
5A This Photography wanted a tent with as much light as possible to he could keep his customers out of the sun and still used as much natural light as possible. Note the  concrete block surrounding the support leg of the tent weighing down on the footpad provided with the tent.  5B This 40x60 gable roof tent did not have a valance or sides. The tarps is stretched tight to prevent any water ponding on the 10x10 squares in the frame.
6A This 20x30 foot  tent with a small valance was used inside a church to give an outside camping experience for a rained out weekend. Note that vinyl pads were used under the foot pad to prevent the metal from scratching the beautiful new wood floor. In this case there was not wind so weigh down blocks were not needed.  6B This is a golf driving rang shade shelter using mesh cloth. It is portable and and bel easily slid over the grass to allow the sun to get at the grass underneath.
7A 2 Gable tents side by side with 3 sides closed and one side open. . 7B This is a pipe cutter and a pipe vise that we sell with an order for $30 for the set. If you are in Houston you can just borrow one from me with a $ 30 check deposit.  That is only $15  each.  The pipe cutter leaves no shavings. Each time you tighten the cutter it gets a little deeper into the metal and eventually  the end falls off with a fairly smooth cut that does not have to be filed as you would with a chop saw.

6-22-09 Limited Number of www.PartyTentCity.com  Used Tent Parts. Only $ 3.00 (Regular Price is $ 10.)
See what these parts are in section 6 or watch a video of each part at section 13 of 99. Call me to check how many are available at that moment. Brian Nelson 31 Gessner Rd. Houston, TX   713-467-3025. The parts I have used at this very low price are:
FLa,  FTb, FLb, F5a, PX, PT4, P5S, P5ER, P4ER, P4EL, P5, PT, FP, P4CL, P4CR, F4a, F6a and some sign holders.

12 Note that this tent is on a hard surface with concrete blocks on each foot pad  to keep it from blowing away. In this set up there is no place to drive stakes into the ground.

12 B  This customer needed a white tarp above the lights in a warehouse to display cars for photography purposes.
14A Bob uses a 40x40 tarp to cover this area outside his  Pecans restaurant in Houston.  He has 10 ft. sides. This does become a wind factor but is a risk he has been willing to take for years. Eventually his land will be sold for development and to make a permanent  building expansion is not justifiable.  14B This is a 10x 20 back yard movie frame kit. You get the connectors, the ball bungees and a 10x 20 white tarp.  As with our tent kits you have to buy the pipe locally at your home convenience store. The kit is $ 242.00.  When you first get the tarp it will be folded up in a small package. You need to  hang it out in the sun with water on it and let it re-establish itself to remove the wrinkles from packaging.  in high winds you can dump the unit horizontally by removing a several connectors.
16A The F6a is used  in the center of a 40x60 tent  where the bottom port goes  to a foot pad.  16B This driving range shade shelter is  portable. IT can also be used to keep the rain off by using a tarp on the top section. The mesh cloth on the side keeps out the sun.
18A  30 ft clear span is possible if you have bigger than 1" EMT Support legs. The 1"EMT will not support the extra weight in a  span this long. 18B The movie screen  is built on the ground and raised vertically and then secured with adjustable connectors that com with the kit.
19A This customer used  several smaller concreted blocks on each leg. The tarp on our tents is put on last when everything else is put in place.  You could also you buckets of water placed on top of the footpads to hold the tent in place.  19B The white top give you a lot of extra light inside your tent. Support poles can be  10 ft or 20 feet apart as   your needs are met.
20A  When you purchase your 1 inch  EMT electrical conduit pipe  from Home  Depot, Lowes, Manards or your electrical supply house you will get it in 10 foot long sections. Some of it will have to be cut and others  can be used full length.  Consider buying a pipe cutter as shown above in 7B to help with the easy of cutting.

20B  A 20x30sr mounted on some kind of a carpet or pad.  I don't see anything securing this from the wind but It could be they don't have that much wind in some areas. There are no poles in the center making it a 20 ft . clear span for more tables.
21A I don't see a valance on this unit which is made to fit an exact size.  The side tarps gave them privacy from the street. It doesn't look like they have a valance so maybe they were planning on no rain.  21B Sign holders are added during construction before the tarp is put on so you can insert an extra end pipe to attach the tarp to especially if you have side tarps so the water will shed to the outside.
22A This shade shelter is on a wood 16x16 deck using a 10x20 tarp with a 4 sided valance. On a 4 sided valance you need to have us switch the FLb corner fittings to F3b and connect the  valance bar to a custom cut and bent Fcb.  to hold the pointing pipe to connect to each other. That is secured to the short vertical pipe with a ball bungee. When you build a 4 sided valance the length of the pipe dimensions has to be very exact.

22B  The 40x60 SD  celebration tent has support legs every 10 ft for maximum support. The table have to be arranged so that the pipes are  in the  convenient place.
23 A. The 14 x 24 storage tent has a short knee wall to keep  the height at a maximum height to be covered by a fence.

23B The 10x20 movie screen kit now comes with fittings that allow you to put horizontal ground pipes forward of the screen to stabilize the backyard movie screen from being blown down forward.  The ground pipe can be easily removed  in case you want to store it flat on the ground.

Brian answers on  www.YouTube.com  a tent question.  "Is there an advantage of 2" EMT pipe on a super reinforced  40x60SR tent compared to using 1" pipe?"
Click the arrow for the 3 minute 1 second video answer or call Brian at 713-467-3025. 7am to 9pm CST.  M-Sat.

27A This customer had a ponding problem so he added an extra pipe to significantly reduce the size of the  stretched span. 27B  Pecans restaurant uses a 40x40 gable tent to add a lot of extra storage for overflow customers in good weather.

28A  Dome tent trusses are added one at a time. 28B You have to lay the entire truss out and determine how  wide and how tall you want your structure to be.
29A This structure is  to keep the sun off and the rain off and complete the photo shoot. 29B This dome uses only  7 connectors so the bottom section is  not perpendicular to the ground.

30A This storage tent has a 4 sided valance. When you do this you have to have your measurement cut exactly  right.

30B This customer did a very neat job on this corner. I do not how he did it. It could be that he just had a very long tarp and met the other tarp in the middle of the page.
32A This F4 A Connector Fitting is a flat fitting. All flat fittings start with an F . Peak fittings start with a P. Each port has a locking bolt to hold the 1" EMT in place.

32B You can see a 9 fitting/truss dome tetn along with 2 gable tents. The dome tent is much better for higher winds and not pocketing water.

33A  This is a PTC Bimini model used for a long term set up. It gives enough shade to keep the sun off you but lets the air roll of through. This structure was designed to remain stable under rising water which went over the top of this from time to time. 33B  Another View
This shade shelter is on a wood 16x16 deck using a 10x20 tarp with a 4 sided valance. On a 4 sided valance you need to have us switch the FLb corner fittings to F3b and connect the valance bar to a custom cut and bent FCA  to hold the pointing pipe to connect to each other. That is secured to the short vertical pipe with a ball bungee. When you build a 4 sided valance the length of the pipe dimensions has to be very exact. This 16x16 deck has a 4 sided valance.

34A The Bimini model gives a lot of viewing area on his structure  along side a waterway.  It is made to with stand significant wind and has not problems with ponding water. 34B This shade shelter uses  7 fittings per truss but  does not have a sliding tightening bar which makes the unit more adjustable when putting on a new tarp that is not exactly the same size as the old tarp.
35A The 10x20 movie screen  is assembled on the ground  and tilted up when needed for viewing. It has a high impact area for wind and should be laid down when not needed for movies.  35B This valance awning is a permanent structure. They did a nice job with a with the valance which makes it look very neat. With our modular system you can cut your pipe to fit your needs.

36A Note how this awning mounted the foot pads on top of the side side wall. The corners are gathered to make valance on all sides. It is not a perfect fit but can be done neatly with a little effort. Finding some exact awning cover is very difficult but our modular system allows you to make an awning that fits your need.  36B  The FLB connector fitting is most often used on the right and left corners of the tents with a valance. The valance fitting slides up and down on the leg until your tarp is skin tight to prevent water ponding. It is also used as a tightening bar fitting on the dome tents.  The center fittings that also slide up and down on the  support leg is called a FTb.

37A. This is a sign holder SH fitting which can be used on a support leg to hold a sign or a flag. We also recommend using it on the end truss of your tent where an short pipe can be inserted so you will have a place to turn the top tarp over the edge and shed the water to outside of the end tarp.

37B This customer covered his in-ground pool with a totally enclosed tent to preserve heat during the winter months.

39A. The F3b is used on the corner of the support leg when you are going to run your side tarps all around the tent. It allows you to have a bottom bar to connect your end tarp.
39B. The movie screen frame is 10x20 and can be safely left up during high winds as long as the tarp is removed.

40A The advantage of the Party Tent City modular tents is that you can make it fit exactly  what you need. In this case the house front fence gate and side fence limit the size of the tent that can be constructed. You then cut your pipe as needed and get a tarp to fit the frame.

40B The 10x20 backyard movie screen uses adjustable tees to attach to ground driven stake to stabilize the structure.
41A   The FTa is a simple T fitting with not peak angles.  Two  of these can be inserted in a 10 foot span to decrease the chances of water ponding by holding an extra sections of pipe. All of our connector fittings have welded in locking bolts.

41B This boat storage unit was built for a temporary structure until a permanent one could be made. There are actually 11 fittings in each truss here  but usually only 10 are needed to have a tightening bar.

43A This edge shows what can be done with a dome  tent  when you are planning to be there for the long term. This was a 7 fitting dome truss used for a small plane hangar. 43B The dome truss system is put up one at a time and then the connecting pipe are place in  the last truss for  connecting the next truss.
44A The FLa is a simple elbow and not a thru fitting. It does have locking bolts to hold the 1" EMT pipe securely.

44B The sections 1 and 7 on a dome tent are almost vertical. You can plan to have these sections longer to give you more shoulder room.

45A The F5a is a flat fitting and not a peak fitting.  4 ports go horizontally and the 5th port is at 90 degrees. 45B This 40 ft wide structure has a valance which makes a nicer appearance and allows you to have sides later if you want them and will still shed the water to the outside.
46B  The FCa is a simple coupling with out any other ports. It most often is used when you want to  cut your 10 ft pipe sections to 5 ft sections to make your tent more portable. We sell these at $10 unless you buy 10 or more and then they are $8.  If you buy 20 of these you would pay only $100 lowering your costs to only $5 each.

46B This is the same pool as picture 37B but the sides have been removed for the summer time use. It will keep the sun off but let the air come through while you are in the pool.

47A  If you put your tent up and down often you should consider our 7 different color rolls of electrical tape for $10. You mark each fitting with a color that matches the pipe next to it. When you  reassemble your tent you know for sure what parts go. It is a lot easier to assemble. Another  advantage is that you  know when your pipe is not fully seated and may be stopping at the locking  bolt instead of at the end of the fitting. your 47B This shows a sgin holder  placed on a support leg  for the purpose of adding an external  pipe to attach flag or banner.
48A Trusses are usually built in advance and connected together with long sections of pipe.  48B Picture shows the ball bungees being atached to hold the tarp down.  NOt the valance on the sides so water will shed to the outside if side tarps are added at any time.

49A The pipe in the center is made so the end tarps in quarter circles or an aluminum door will have something rigid to attach to  when installed. Note that the center pole is not needed and has an FCa coupler to help with the easy removal. You have to allow that your pipes are shorter to allow for the easy removal. 49B Note the three pieces of hardware that are used to create a place to hang and stop the door.  3 screws into the 1" EMT vertical pole are sufficient to  hold the aluminum door.
